What is the difference between a Physiotherapist and a Chiropractor?

In Australia both Chiropractors and Physiotherapists are University trained Allied Health Professionals who work with patients to deal with issues related to their musculoskeletal and neurological systems.

The main point of difference between a Chiropractor and a Physiotherapist may be their approach to treatment of a certain condition.  Chiropractors have unique and expert training in spinal and peripheral joint adjustments and mobilisations as well as skills in specific muscle release techniques, rehabilitation and exercise prescriptions.  Physiotherapists may often have a strong emphasis on rehabilitation and exercises in their approach to treatment.
